Today at the pediatrician's office we had our weights checked.  Here are our updated weights (as you can see, Elyse is doing much better at gaining weight!):

Make the paparazzi stop!

Mom was trying to get a pic of these adorable outfits, but we were just not interested.  At some point, we just think that Mom needs to put the camera away!

Elyse: Whoa, Mom!  Another picture?  Can you take that one again, I don't think you got my best side.

Felicity: Hmm...I like this picture.  It captures how relaxed I usually am.

If you compare this picture to an earlier one of us in our bouncy seats, you can see how much we've grown!
Elyse: At my last doctor's appointment I weighed in at 6 lbs. 11 oz.  The new formula is helping me grow!

Happy Easter!

Felicity: Because Elyse had just been discharged from the hospital, she couldn't join me for church on Easter.  Even though it made me sad that I had to go without her, I still had fun getting dressed up in my pretty dress!

This is my friend Annika holding me at church.  We are not officially related, but we are kind of like family! (Annika's dad, Mark, is my aunt Kim's brother!)

This is a picture of our cousins in MN.  We sure wish we could've spent Easter with them hunting for eggs and looking cute! (from left to right: Olivia, Evelyn, Emma, Sophie, Grace).  For those of you who don't know, we are lucky to have twin cousins who are only a year older than us (Evelyn and Sophie)!

Visitors

Our aunt Amy, uncle Steve, and aunt Kimberly all came to visit us during their spring breaks.

Felicity: Steve and Amy kept me company while Elyse was sick in the hospital.

Uncle Steve is such a softie!  He just loved cuddling with us!

Elyse is home!

Elyse came home from the hospital today (earlier than expected!).  She is doing well, no fever, and is slowly starting to eat well again.  Please pray that she will continue to get strong and be able to gain weight.  She will be on a special formula for a while that is hypo-allergenic and will help her digest her food more easily.  Thanks for thinking of us!

Another hospital visit

Just an update: Elyse was admitted to the hospital for observation last night.  She is having problems eating and is on oxygen for low oxygen levels.  She is now on a new formula that is easy for her to digest and she will hopefully be able to come home on Saturday (at the earliest).  The docs are pretty sure she has a milk protein allergy and are optimistic that a special hypo-allergenic formula will help her get better.

Felicity is doing great!  Please keep all of us in your prayers!  Thanks!

Pediatrician Visit: age 2 months

Elyse: 6 lbs 5 oz.

Felicity: 7 lbs. 2 oz.

Please pray for Elyse as she has been a bit under the weather lately and is fighting a fever and having trouble eating (reflected in her current weight).  We hope she starts feeling better soon and can gain some more weight!

Our favorite book

Mom likes to read to us when we are home just hanging out.  Our favorite books so far are the Fancy Nancy series.  Nancy is very concerned with being fancy and so are we!

Lots of fun presents!

Our friend Sissy gave us these stylish sunglasses and adorable sun bonnets.  We are ready for summer!  Thanks Sissy!

These cute pink bears are from Grandpa and Grandma Butcher.  They are cuddly and soft and we just love them!

The blankets behind us are from our friend Ashley.  She worked so hard to make these for us and we really like looking at the pictures of Pooh and friends on them.  Thanks Ashley, we can't wait to meet you!

Grandpa and Grandma Butcher here for a visit

Here we are taking another walk on a beautiful Colorado day.
Here you can see Dad's stellar stroller-pushing abilities :0)

The Nursery

Being twins is just plain cute

Our first big outing

The pediatrician gave Mom and Grandma the go-ahead to take us out in public.  She just said that Mom needs to be extra diligent to keep peoples' hands and faces away from us so we don't get sick.  With this in mind, Mom and Grandma went to a mall in Colorado that claims to be a "shopping resort."  Apparently, Mom sure thinks it is just that!  And just like Fancy Nancy would say, "shopping resort is a fancy name for a mall."  We all had fun shopping (we had fun sleeping mostly) and we enjoyed our first visit to the MAC store (our Mom's favorite fancy make-up place).  Mom says we'll love that place some day and we're sure we will (no matter what Dad says about the budget!).  Because being fancy is our speciality!
Any mall with a food court called a "dining hall" is pretty fancy!

More fun with Grandma

We have had such a marvelous visit with Grandma Beck.  She has enjoyed cuddling and holding us at every chance she gets.  We will be sad when she leaves, but then we get to meet our other grandparents for the first time which will be so much fun too!

Our first walk

In Colorado, the weather is 60 one day and snowy and 25 the next.  On the day we took our first walk, the weather was almost 70 degrees!  It was such a beautiful day!  Just two days later we got 4 inches of snow and it was 20 degrees outside.

Here we are getting ready for our walk.

Grandma and Mom had so much fun taking us on our first walk in our big stroller.

Behind Mom in this picture are the foothills (we live right next to the foothills).
