A Few Firsts
Today we crossed a major milestone in our journey to being bonafide big girls: we ate our homemade macaroni and cheese in a bowl and with a spoon!
Elyse: What's the big deal? It's just a spoon.
Of course it took a little while to get the hang of it, but we're sure we'll be experts soon!

Summer Lovin'
We've been busy all over town this summer enjoying the warmth, the pool, the sand, and the park. But most of all, we are learning more and more how lucky we are to have such a wonderful sister and playmate in each other! We've taken to appreciating each other more...here we are giving each other a hug (and no, Mom did not put us up to this! We did it all on our own):

Swimming, Sand, and Sun!
When we get the chance we enjoy sitting in a big person chair together. Until, of course, we don't enjoy it anymore and want our own space...then, that's a WHOLE different story. But here we're abounding in sisterly love:
We have a new sandbox in the back yard (thanks to Mom's ingenuity, hard work, and new play sand) and this wagon is for bringing our sandbox toys back and forth from the deck to the sand. We quickly found other uses for it:

You Can't Have My Starbucks!
Yum, yum! There's got to be at least one drop of this delicious drink left in here somewhere!
Felicity: Can you find any drink left in your cup? Mine seems to be empty. Mommy is pretty sneaky getting our hopes up by giving us these cups...and then to find nothing in them! The injustice!
Your smell is intoxicating, your treats are so yummy.
But most importantly, your sweet elixir makes for one happy Mommy!
***Disclaimer: No caffeine, coffee, or other Starbucks products were consumed by any small children in the making of this post.***

I Scream, You Scream, We ALL SCREAM for Ice Cream!
One of our favorite things to do when we're at the farm is to go to the Drive In. It is an official drive-in and has the BEST ice cream we've ever had! In just one short weekend, we went there twice and loved every minute of it! See, it even has an official sign:
Great-Grandma likes the drive-in too:

Fun at the Farm
We had a marvelous time playing at The Greats' farm and enjoying the country air over the holiday weekend. We had the joy of hanging out with both sets of grandparents, one set of great-grandparents, and seeing lots of cousins and other relatives.
Enjoying the beautiful weather:

Happy Birthday America!
We have recently returned from a fabulous weekend behind the Cheddar Curtain visiting our very large extended family on our daddy's side. It was so much fun to see everyone and celebrate America's birthday!! God Bless America!
Of course we had special outfits for the big party on the Fourth. With our names on our shirts, no one got us confused!
There are way too many fun things to do on this farm to get stuck taking pictures! Sit still? No way!

to watch the fireworks. They were so beautiful. If I had not sworn a secret oath to not, under serious penalty, tell you what our Mommy was doing during the fireworks, I would tell you. But since I can't tell you...well, I won't. Sorry! And if you try to make me, I'll just plead the 5th. And then, I will lawyer-up. I know a good one, you know.

Noah's Friends Come Two by Two
We were so excited to have our friends Annie, Katie, and Noah come to visit us this week! Noah is our age and lots and lots of fun! We just love when they all come into town.
Hey Noah, we both have red hair! We were just made to be friends! Maybe if I just reached over this way, I could just borrow a little bit of yours...
Noah: I don't know, Felicity. That all sounds like a lot of work! I'm pretty jet-lagged and plan on lounging in your nice chair here for a long while!
