Ready to hit the road

Elyse: White hat. Check.  Cute pink t-shirt. Check. Adorable capris with lace detail. Check. Pink shoes with white flower.  Check.  Great, looks like I have all of the necessary items for a stylish and cute outfit.  I'm all set for an afternoon on the town.

Elyse: Felicity, what's wrong?  Don't you just love our new hats? Don't cry, just remember what Mom always tells us: "Fashion isn't always easy, but it's always worth it!"

Felicity: Yikes! Are you sure Mom?  I don't know if this white hat compliments my complexion.  I'm still very skeptical about it.

Felicity: Still skeptical...but you're starting to convince me...

Cute Candids

Elyse: Whew! It's exhausting being cute!

Felicity: Do you people get how hilarious my mom is?  Today she danced around the house singing silly songs to me and I found it seriously entertaining!

Felicity: Come on mom, that was funny. Don't stop!

Felicity: Mom takes us out and about town all the time and we love it.  This is what happens when we get home...pay no attention to the drool coming out of my mouth.

Elyse: I love a catnap after a long hard day of shopping!

We're getting so big!

Can you guess who is who?

Birthday Fun with Olivia and Grace

One really fun thing we did on our trip was celebrate our cousins' birthdays at a big family party.  Grace turned 6 and Olivia turned 4.  We had cake and lots of fun! (okay, so we didn't actually have cake, but everyone else did and they said it was really good.  Besides, our mom tells us how wonderful cake and frosting are, so we are looking forward to it next year on our first birthday!).
Olivia and Grace

This is Olivia and her new American Girl doll.  Mom and Grandma Beck are SO excited for us to be old enough to have our own American Girl dolls.  Mom tells Dad that he should be prepared to take many fun trips to the American Girl Doll store in Chicago!  As you may have guessed, he is just thrilled with this news.

Grace and Emma

The birthday girls and their princess cake.  Yes, you guessed it, family get-togethers with 7 girls are just filled to the brim with PINK, PINK, and more PINK!

More friends and fun

Here are our friends Ashlee and Jenna.  We were so excited to meet them!  They are friends of our Mom and Dad and were both in their wedding!

Grandpa and Grandma Beck had so much fun hanging out with us!  We were very happy that they had lots of times to babysit us.

Meeting lots of new people!!

This is Mom's friend Brie, holding Elyse in Mom's office at Crown.  She is a very stellar person that Mom hopes we can spend lots more time with in the future.

Great-Grandma Butcher and Elyse
Dad's grandparents came to the Twin Cities from their Wisconsin farm to meet us for the first time.  We can't wait to see them again on their farm in July for the yearly July 4th celebration!  Fireworks, here we come!!

Our cousin Gracie and Elyse

Our cousin Emma and Felicity

Our Aunt Kim and Elyse

Our Great-Grandma Olander (can you believe she is going to be 91 this year?!)
We were hanging out outside on this beautiful day and just a few days later it snowed--MN is a crazy place!

Our First Flight

Grandpa and Felicity hanging out at DIA

Daddy and Felicity flying Frontier, a whole different animal

Mom and Elyse (Mom got to hold me both to MN and back because Grandpa and Dad were afraid I'd spit up on them!)

Because Mom had to go back to MN for work, she thought it would be a great time to introduce us to MN and all of our family who live there.  We had so much fun!  Grandpa flew back with us so that Mom would have some help and he did a great job. Thanks Grandpa! From the minute we sat down to the minute we landed, we just slept and slept and slept.  And we were just as great on the flight home, so this gives Mom and Dad lots of courage to fly with us again!

Elyse: Future Economist

Elyse: You see, I was thinking that my recent foray into the world of expensive formula is really allowing my parents to help the ailing economy...

Elyse: And might I add one more point I've been pondering...  I also believe that the very nature of having twins helps the economy as my parents are forced to buy double of everything, pouring lots of money back into the marketplace...

Felicity: Elyse, you are so boring...I'm just going to get comfy and take a nap..

Grandpa Beck Visits

Grandpa Beck came to Denver for business and to visit us for the first time!  We have had lots of fun with him.  We took him to breakfast at a really good restaurant in Downtown Denver.  He, of course, loved it as he is a huge breakfast fan!

Grandpa Beck is also helping us on our first plane ride!  We are going to MN because Mom has to work and we want to meet everyone there.  Grandpa will hold Felicity and Mom will hold Elyse.  We are sure it is going to be quite the adventure.  There will definitely be more pictures to come of our big adventure.

Fun with Daddy

Elyse:  Here Daddy is holding me because I tend to get pretty fussy when people don't pay attention to me.  I am relatively high maintenance when it comes to wanting to be the center of attention!

We keep growing

Today at the pediatrician's office we had another weight check.  Here are our new weights:

We are growing strong!

More pics with our friends

Our first trip to Starbuck's

Mom and Ashley took us to Starbuck's for the very first time (it is Mom's favorite!).
Ashley and Felicity

Our drinks and Mom's drink. We think that we'll start a new trend: Baby Starbuck's (all they have to do is sell the expensive formula Elyse eats.  It makes sense: expensive coffee and expensive formula--perfect!). We think it would be very tres chic for all of the happenin' babies like us!

Thaddeus and Ashley Visit

Our mom and dad's friends from law school came to visit us this past weekend.  We had so much fun with them!  We might even visit them in Utah over Memorial Day weekend.  On Saturday night, our mom and dad dropped us off at our friend Sissy's house and they went out to dinner with Thaddeus and Ashley.

An updated family photo

Daddy and Thaddeus are very serious lawyer-types.  Here there were busy pondering the meaning of justice.  We just like to ponder when we're going to eat our next bottle!

Clearly Mommy and Ashley are way more fun than Daddy and Thaddeus.

Naptime

We definitely like to snooze a lot throughout the day.  Here we are catching some zzzzzz....

Another favorite book

Besides Fancy Nancy, we also love reading about Spot the dog's many adventures.  We even have a stuffed Spot to cuddle with while we hear his stories.
