Reunion!

What a day we had today! Together we reached so many major milestones today:

  1. Because we are digesting all of our milk through the tubes in our noses that goes directly to our tummies, we no longer need our IVs. This means that all of the problems the nurses had in getting the IVs in our veins (we get this from Mom--you should see the bruises she has from her IV!) are over! We no longer have to get poked and prodded. YEAH! (and living without all of the chords is pretty nice too!)
  2. We are no longer jaundiced and don't need the spotlight treatments any longer. This means we can get snuggly and cozy in a warm blanket and sleep soundly (which we do most of the day!).
  3. We got to wear our first clothes today! We are both very stylish in a flowered onesie and a pink onesie with flowers on the front. Of course Mom tells us we have quite the wardrobe waiting for us at home in our closet, but for now we have to wear the NICU clothes so ours don't get lost in the shuffle.
  4. Drumroll please....and biggest achievement of all today: we got to see each other and spend some time together for the first time since we left Mom's belly. It was so nice to see each other again. After some particularly brilliant photo ops (see our pics below), we snuggled together in Mom's arms and had a wonderful reunion nap. How wonderful it was! We can't wait until we are out of our isolettes and we get to sleep in the same crib together, because frankly, life is just lonely without our other half! :0)
